Facinated with bowling ….

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

I’ve been to more bowling alleys this month alone than the amount of bowling alley visits in my entire life… what is wrong with me!!! not exactly the easiest game to pick up and play. I call this a game instead of a sport because i believe that a "sport" is something that requires body contact, Footballs’ a sport, basketballs’ a sport and yada yada yada… you get what i mean.
This particular game involve just you, the bowling ball and 10 pins… ah! the pins… don’t get me started on the pins, they just won’t fall for me, they have a nickname for me in the bowling alley - "the drain cleaner" - its pretty much self explained there… -_-"
aiks… the pains of bowling… but still… losing to a girl that is playing for the first time and seeing her having 2 strikes will forever haunt me till the day i die…
currently the only kaki i have is kang and his 2 friends fong anf fooi, great guys…
Gonna train (i never taught i’ll be using that word… ) my skills and plot my revenge… !!!

80 - 90’s cartoon fever

Monday, April 10th, 2006

Recently i stumble upon a gem of a website devoted to all of yester year’s cartoon, television series and movies, Retrojunk. Although i don’t remember much of the old movies and television sitcoms, i totally still remember all the cartoons, which basically formed my entire childhood and teenage years.
Cartoons like Silverhawks, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Voltron, M.A.S.K…etc etc brings back tons of memories of how carefree we were during our younger days.
1 cartoon amongst all that i enjoyed very much was Animaniacs and its eventual sucessor, Freakzoid.
Most cartoons usually goes along the lines of good versus evil, Animaniacs and Freakzoid are basically spoofing all of them. They might be silly at times, but at the same time, they are quirky and intelligent at the same time, using very intelligent wordplay in their songs.
Check out Yakko’s world in my friendster.

Weekly review on stuff
Movies - Ice Age 2 - 6/10 (not as funny as the 1st )
The Producers - 8/10 (Well, being a broadway show…you’ll expect song and dance, this will not dissappoint you, matthew broderick’s Leo bloom’s character’s performance was at times over the top, but Gary Beach and Roger Bart’s performance is worth the ticket price alone…must see for those who are into broadway musicals).
