The day after i experienced mini “hurricane katrina”
Thursday, August 17th, 2006All 17 of us went to "Taman Rekreasi Air Panas" at Sg Klah in Sungkai to celebrate Vincent’s birthday. At first i thought the place would be those "public baths" aka hutan simpanan type of place where it is basically dirty as hell, but i was wrong… dead wrong, the bloody place looks like a resort. Very clean camping grounds and whats best is the hot water spring is right next to us… i think i’ve prolly soaked the most hours… bloody hell hot water makes you feel lazy, you just wanna sit there and soak… and soak… and soak till i got really dizzy at 1 point (and i managed to drive all the way from Sungkai to Tanjung Malim half drunk!!! i rock!. Then i basically dosed off and let CY drove back.).
Everything went well at that point… until we all got tired and wanted to sleep… common sense will tell you that if you had 2 tents that can prolly accomodate 4 person max per tent… the girls are gonna get it, that meansthe boys are going to sleep outside. Luckly for the benches and tables, we were able to rest our head on something besides the damp grass. Then it started… at around 1-2, there where cool gentle breezes from the camp ground… which was quite nice i might add, at around 3-6, mother nature decided to up the ante… full blast air conditioning, it was like a mini katrina storm. i couldn’t sleep a wink that night and it showed when we all drove back to KL… i passed out the entire journey.
Overall i quite enjoyed this journey especially the part we all actually got together to go to a place for once… might want to try it next time… but this time… i’ll be ready with the tents.
